Fairfax Academy Sixth Form achieves best-ever results

Fairfax Academy Sixth Form: A Sutton Coldfield school is celebrating a significant milestone in academic achievement – after its Sixth Form students delivered the strongest results in the school’s history.

Sixth formers at Fairfax Academy delivered record-breaking results in three key metrics which education chiefs use to measure how much academic progress students make, compared to other students with similar prior attainment.

Fairfax Academy Sixth Form Director Azania Blake with Principal Sean Castle and sixth form students.
Last year the school was also ranked the best in Birmingham in the all-important ‘A Level progress’ score, in data released by FFT Aspire.

Their impressive results in A Level Progress Score (+0.39), Academic Level 3 Value Added (+0.38), and Vocational Level 3 Value Added (+0.40) ranks them as number one in Sutton Coldfield, and first in Birmingham among Sixth Forms with more than 50 Year 13 students.

Based on 100 or more entries, a score of +0.39 would have ranked Fairfax Academy 81st nationally, placing the school firmly in the top 5% of Sixth Forms across the country.

Fairfax Academy Sixth Form students show determination

Fairfax Academy Principal Sean Castle said: “This achievement is a proud moment for Fairfax Academy. Our students have shown incredible determination, and our staff have gone above and beyond to support them.

“These results confirm that our Sixth Form is among the very best in the country, and we will continue to strive for excellence in everything we do.”

Head of Sixth Form Asania Blake added: “We are incredibly proud of our students for achieving such remarkable outcomes. These results are a testament to their determination and the exceptional support provided by our staff.

“We look forward to seeing our students thrive as they take their next steps.”

Fairfax Academy, which is part of the ambitious Fairfax Multi Academy Trust (FMAT), continues to build on its upward trajectory, proving what can be achieved through ambition, perseverance, and a supportive school environment.

Last year the school was also ranked the best in Birmingham in the all-important ‘A Level progress’ score, in data released by FFT Aspire.

FFT Aspire, which provides data on schools and pupil progress, is used by more than 16,000 schools, multi-academy trusts and local authorities across the country.
