PLANTSBROOK SCHOOL GCSES 2019 – STUDENTS CELEBRATE ‘FANTASTIC’ RESULTS

Plantsbrook School GCSEs 2019 – Students and staff at Plantsbrook in Sutton Coldfield are today celebrating excellent GCSE results.

80% of students achieved grades 9 – 4 in both English and maths, compared with 77% in 2018.  54% achieved a strong pass, between 9 – 5 in both English and maths.

HeadteacherTracy Campbell said: “We are really proud of this group of young people.  They have worked hard and thoroughly deserve their success.  They are also lovely, well-rounded young adults.  Many of them will be coming back to our Sixth Form and we look forward to their continued success.

“I would like to pay tribute to the staff who have worked hard with them and to their parents and families for their support.  It’s been a great team effort!”

Whilst national progress data will only be released in the Autumn, the school is confident that progress scores, which show the progress the students have made since joining the school in Y7, will be above the national average again.
